What's in a name?

This is a snippet of a conversation from one of the Spanish services I went to this weekend:

Me: "Hola!" [Hello!]

Him: "Hola! Como estas?" [Hello! How are you?]

Me: "Bien, y tu?" [Good, you?]

Him: "Bien!" [Good!]

Me: "Como te llamas?" [What is your name?]

Him: "Me llamo?" [My name?]

Me: "Si!" [Yes!]

Him: "Elliot (well, the Spanish equivelent). tu?" [Elliot, yours?]

Me: "Jenny." [Jenny.]

Him: "Ah, muy bonita!" [Ah, very pretty!]

Me: "Gracias!" [Thank you!]
